About AeHIN<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN)<\/strong> is a collaboration of digital health advocates from South and Southeast Asia committed to promoting interoperability for better health.<\/p>\n

To promote a vision of a strengthened interoperable digital health ecosystem for better health in Asia, AeHIN has been facilitating learning, resource sharing, and knowledge exchange to build and enhance digital health capacities through networking.<\/p>\n

Created in 2011, AeHIN has over 2,400 members with presence in 82 countries. AeHIN is incorporated in Hong Kong and maintains secretariats in Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n

AeHIN has helped build capacity in the region by laying down national health information foundations: governance, architecture, program management, standards and interoperability or GAPS. AeHIN encourages countries to Mind the GAPS in their digital health planning and implementation. These activities include conferences, general meetings, certification training, webinars, and online repositories, all of which contribute to a stronger networked approach to digital health development.<\/p>\n

About the AeHIN GM 2023<\/h2>\n

Rationale<\/span><\/h2>\n

Digital health is vital during the pandemic in strengthening the health system and establishing a resilient population. Digital health is projected to play a significant role with the end of the pandemic and the beginning of the post-pandemic era, as it has the potential to transform healthcare delivery by making it more efficient, accessible, and cost-effective. With the support of development partners, numerous Asian nations have introduced digital health advances such as telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and health data analytics.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the AeHIN General Meeting 2023 will provide an opportunity for different stakeholders across Asia to come together and collaborate toward strengthening the health system through digital health solutions. As digital health gains more importance in the post-pandemic era, countries must work together and learn from each other’s experiences to ensure efficient and effective healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n

By bringing together key players in the digital health ecosystem, the 9th AeHIN General Meeting in Indonesia aims to promote collaboration, learning, and capacity building towards achieving a common goal of building a strong and resilient health system. The event is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to network, share ideas, and collectively work towards leveraging digital health solutions to improve healthcare delivery across Asia. Indonesia has made remarkable progress in this area. AeHIN General Meeting provides a platform for the country to showcase its efforts and provide insights into its digital health strategies for sharing and learning with international communities. In addition, in line with our theme this year \u201cEnsuring digital health for better outcomes: putting blueprints to practice\u201d, this event will be a platform to ensure the implementation of digital health blueprints among Asian countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Objectives<\/span><\/h2>\n

The objectives of the AeHIN General Meeting 2023 are as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. To share and exchange knowledge, best practices, and action-oriented recommendations on digital health governance, architecture, program management, standards, and interoperability among Asian countries and development partners. Through sharing experiences and practices, the event will enable participants to learn from one another and apply successful models in their respective countries.<\/li>\n
  2. To strengthen the capacity of health professionals and organizations in implementing digital health solutions.<\/li>\n
  3. To contribute towards building a strong and resilient health system across the region, by leveraging digital health solutions and improving health data interoperability.<\/li>\n
  4. To ensure the implementation of digital health blueprints among Asian countries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>

    More than 70 organizations, development partners, institutions, and 21 countries will attend the conference face-to-face.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
