The Health Informatics Society of Sri Lanka is the professional association for Sri Lankan medical, health and IT professionals, academics and students interested in Medical and Health Care Informatics. Work on putting digital health blueprints into practice

• HISSL supported the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, the University of Colombo and the Ministry of Health to establish a Master’s programme in Biomedical Informatics and a Doctoral programme in Health Informatics. The program catered to the need to create necessary capacity in digital health among the Ministry of Health ranks and act as a catalyst to support creating the digital health blueprint and its practice.
